Downunder by Justin Jennings is one of the best spots in Baixa, Lisbon. Portuguese food is criminally underrated — honest cooking, incredible seafood, and portions that don't mess around.
💡 Tips before you go
- The couvert (bread, olives, etc.) isn't free — send it back if you don't want to pay for it
- Pastel de nata (custard tart) from a proper bakery, not a tourist shop
- Vinho Verde (green wine) is light, cheap, and perfect with seafood
- Lunch menus (prato do dia) are the best deal — generous and affordable
